Press release: Climate-neutral fermentation in port of Ghent through CO2 capture

Alco Bio Fuel, Messer Benelux and IJsfabriek Strombeek make process more sustainable by investing in second CO2 capture line.

Entirely according to plan, the biorefinery Alco Bio Fuel (ABF) has put into operation the extra capacity for CO2 capture. Annually, 160 thousand tons of green CO2 are now captured and reused in other sectors.

Glastuinbouw breidt groene CO2-voorziening uit voor duurzame teelt

Rotterdam, 27 mei 2021 – Vandaag is de levering van groene CO2 aan glastuinders in het gebied
PrimA4a in Haarlemmermeer uitgebreid en in werking gesteld. Hierdoor kunnen tuinders per direct
stoppen met het verbruik van aardgas voor de benodigde fossiele CO2 als voedingsstof voor hun
gewassen.

Alco announces production cuts

As many countries are now entering into lockdown to prevent further spread of the Coronavirus (Covid 19), Alco has decided to reduce its production by 30% as of today Wednesday March 18th.

Alco will reassess the situation on a weekly basis whilst ensuring the health and safety of its employees which remains its number one priority.
